Michael Dabroski is an American violinist and unconventional artist, visionary classical music project builder, and dedicated humanitarian, based between Havana, Cuba, and southwest Florida, USA. Praised for his “sensitive, beautifully nuanced, and clearly articulated” violin playing and chamber music recitals, Mr. Dabroski also distinguishes himself as an orchestral conductor and impactful educator. A noted “distinguished alumni” of Manhattan School of Music since 2003, his artistic reach extends globally, bringing classical music to underserved locations across the Adirondack Park, Ireland, Cyprus, Palestine (Gaza City, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nablus), Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and major U.S. cities.

With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. Dabroski has produced over 500 professional and critically acclaimed classical music events since 1995. This impressive output stems from his Wlourishing original music and business projects, including the non-proWit Adirondack Ensemble (founded 1995), the for-proWit Burlington Ensemble LLC (founded 2009), and the transformative solo violin beneWit concert project, Enclaves of Beauty (founded 2013), which notably uses a Palestinian-made violin commissioned for him to support Palestinian programs. His pioneering spirit also led to the establishment of the Department of Music at Burlington College (founded 2013), the fellowship program at the Vermont Mozart Festival (founded 2016), and eight successful editions of the La Ruta de Mozart (Mozart’s Route) string quartet program (founded 2017) with Lyceum Mozartiano de la Habana in Cuba—making him the only American citizen to create a music festival within the Cuban government system.

Mr. Dabroski is driven by the conviction that music has a profound responsibility to connect communities, uphold artistic excellence, and inspire positive change or provide solace. This ethos is deeply embedded in his projects, which have generated signiWicant social impact and fundraising success. For instance, his Enclaves of Beauty concerts have raised over $41,000 USD for medical relief in Gaza since 2013. He has awarded competitive fellowship scholarships to sixty of the most talented graduate and post-graduate music conservatory students in the U.S. for study under his artistic and business mentorship at the Vermont Mozart Festival (2016-2019), and provided scholarships to seventy-Wive high school music students in the remote Adirondack Park (1998-2001) to attend Adirondack Ensemble’s Adirondack Music Camp. He also facilitated fellowships and visas for four leading Cuban string players to participate in the Vermont Mozart Festival in 2017, and through the Burlington Ensemble, concert-fundraised over $25,000 USD for twenty-Wive local Vermont charities. His La Ruta de Mozart festival or Mozart Route, has inspired the formation and career advancement of numerous Cuban string quartet groups over a ten-year period, aiding their professional growth and international opportunities.
